Traumatized coronavirus nurse weeps recalling hellish shift

A traumatized nurse weeped with anguish while recalling a hellish shift amid the worsening coronavirus crisis that has seen hospitals overrun by dying patients.

The ICU nurse from Southeast, Michigan, who was not named, said she shot the video to vent after a horrific 13-hour shift and to warn people to take the outbreak seriously.

‘I don’t know what the fuck just happened for the past 13 hours. Honestly guys, it felt like I was working in a war zone,’ the nurse said in the video with tears in her eyes.

‘I was completely isolated from my team members, limited recourses, limited supplies, limited responses from physicians because they’re just as overwhelmed as we are dealing with a ton of other stuff.’

‘So basically I just spent the last 13 hours like treating two critically ill Covid-19 patients on the vent (ventilator), basically by myself and this is my new normal for the next however many months that it takes for this virus to die down. So, like I’m already breaking, so for fuck’s sake people please take this seriously,’ she continued.

Michigan is the state with the fifth-most number of cases in the country with more than 2,200 infected and at least 43 deaths.

On Wednesday, two major Detroit-are hospitals reported that they had reached capacity for treating coronavirus patients.

The state expects an additional 16,000 Covid-19 cases to come by April 4, according to health officials, who said they currently have 25,000 beds with an average of about 80% occupied.

On Thursday, The US saw coronavirus cases soar past 68,800 and the death toll surpassed 1,000 as hospitals across brace for an influx of patients infected by the virus.
