Sickening moment parents use pet cat as a BOWLING BALL despite pleas from daughter, 9, during coronavirus lockdown – The Sun

SICKENING footage has emerged showing a mum and dad using their cat as a bowling ball during coronavirus lockdown, despite pleas from their daughter.

The horrifying clip – recorded in the Russian city Perm – shows Roman Pinaev, 37, and wife Ekaterina, 38, playing the sick game.

Their daughter Eva, nine, had been using a ball to knock over beer bottles in a makeshift bowling game in the family’s kitchen.

But after the little girl sets the pins up for another throw, her mum can be heard suggesting: “Let's knock them down with the cats.”

Her dad enthusiastically replies: “Yes, let's throw the cats.”

Distressed Eva can be heard begging her parents, shouting: “No, no! Mum, no!”

But Pinaev ignores her calls and hurls terrified pet Sonya across the kitchen.

The poor animal smashes into the beer bottles, sending them and the upturned metal tray on top of them flying, before slamming into a kitchen cupboard.

The horrified girl rushes to check the cat is okay as her dad cheers, shouting: “Strike! Self-isolation, this is normal.”

'NO EXCUSE'

The traumatised cat then runs out of the kitchen.

The shocking clip went viral in Russia, where Vladimir Putin has ordered citizens to stay at home until the end of April.

And one of those to see it was animal rights campaigner Galya More, 27.

She made a formal complaint to police, who are now investigating.

Galya said most people during the current coronavirus self-isolation “sing songs from balconies, applaud doctors, or deliver food to old people”.

She continued: “Only in Perm do we come up with new games – taking a cat from a child who protects it from her own parents, tossing it into a bunch of beer bottles, and filming this on video.”

Being “bored in quarantine” was no excuse and the parents should face “criminal responsibility”, she said.

Faced with a deluge of complaints, Pinaev later claimed he was facing “bullying” on social media.

He said: “The cat did not suffer. I am not an animal abuser.”
