Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer are among the Call Me by Your Name cast members who will return for the second installment, Find Me.
Director Luca Guadagnino revealed that the two actors will be involved in the sequel in an interview with Italian newspaper La Repubblica. “Of course, it was a great pleasure to work with Timothée Chalamet, Armie Hammer, Michael Stuhlbarg, Esther Garrel and the other actors. Everyone will be in the new movie,” Guadagnino said, per Variety.
Find Me, along with its predecessor, are based on novels by André Aciman. Although not many other details have been confirmed about the movie, the sequel is set to take place 10 years after the events of the original film, in which Chalamet played a 17-year-old student who falls for Hammer’s character, a graduate student working with his father.
The film’s production has also been temporarily halted amid the coronavirus pandemic, as have many other Hollywood projects. “Before coronavirus, I made a trip to the United States to meet a screenwriter I love very much, whose name I don’t want to say, to talk about the second part,” Guadagnino told La Repubblica. “Unfortunately, we had to put it on hold.”
