ITV Im A Celeb viewers in tears as Pete Wicks breaks down on show

I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! viewers were left in tears as Pete Wicks broke down in tears crying during a reunion with his best pal Sam Thompson during the latest instalment.

The TOWIE star sobbed as Sam, 31, suddenly appeared through the jungle brush, in a surprise special meeting that show bosses had arranged for the final five campmates.

Marvin Humes, who was the latest person to be evicted, was greeted by the arrival of his beloved wife Rochelle Humes, while Nigel Farage saw his daughter Izzy Farage during a routine walkabout.

Former champion boxer Tony Bellew had his wife Rachael Bellew, who recently revealed the real reason he has been doing the show is for his beloved late nan Rose, who sadly died a couple of days before he flew to Australia.

This Morning presenter Josie Gibson, 38, was stunned to find her best friend Mia, who has been looking after her son Reggie, casually sat in the jungle.

But fans were unanimous that the best reunion was between fan-favourite Sam and Pete.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts on the adorable moment, viewers were in floods of tears.

As they watched the pair sob into each others' arms with a sweet hug, one person posted: "sitting here sobbing my eyes out over sam seeing pete #ImACeleb"

"Na genuine tears for Sam and Pete, everyone deserves that kinda friendship #ImACeleb," another fan gushed.

A third person posted: "Pete & Sam's friendship is so cute #ImACeleb," while a fourth said: "We’re still not over this moment between best friends Sam and Pete #ImACeleb"

"Just got emotional watching Sam be reunited with his mate Pete and Tony reunite with his Rachel #ImACeleb," a fifth commented, followed by: "Please tell me I wasn’t the only one to cry at Pete & Sam- that was far to emotional for me! #ImACeleb"

Pete made sure to tell his best bud that he was "incredibly proud" of him for all he has achieved in the jungle, and that his mum and his whole family were singing his praises back at home.

He also commented on the star's loveable bromance with JLS star Marvin, which got the duo laughing in a special moment.

It comes as Marvin was the latest celebrity to be voted out of the camp during tonight's instalment.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly head into camp to share the news about which contestants are safe every night during the final week, and reveal which person has the lowest number of votes.

But fans have been criticising the way the results are issued in recent days, calling them too “formulaic”.

One fan took to social media to write: "It's too formulaic, the last person is always the one to be the 2nd 'could be you' so the suspense is really limited to whenever they say the first 'could be you.'"

Time will tell who will be crowned the Jungle King or Queen on Sunday night (10 December).
