Coronation Street star Shobna Gulati has tweeted about the impact long-Covid is having on her life.
Shobna, who played Sunita Alahan in the ITV soap, tweeted back in March and said: ‘I was suffering from secondary infection, in my case pneumonia as a direct result of contracting Covid 19. I just want to say thank you to the out of hours young duty doctor who I believe saved my life despite the risk to herself. Thank you.’
Shobna played Dev’s (Jimmi Harkishin) wife Sunita for 12 years. Her character was killed by Karl Munro who dislodged her breathing tube in hospital after she was saved from the Rovers Return fire in 2013.
