Clarkson’s Farm made its debut on Amazon Prime Video on June 11 and the TV show is full of hilarious moments. The journalist and broadcaster Jeremy Clarkson purchased a 1,000-acre farm, which he decided to manage himself. Fans are keen to find out whether he will be getting up to more farming antics in a second outing.
Will there be a season 2 of Clarkson’s farm?
Clarkson purchased the farm knowing he had no prior knowledge or experience in the world of agriculture.
While this was not great news for him, it has made for perfect TV and fans have loved watching him learn the ropes.
Prime Video described the Top Gear star as “Britain’s most unlikely farmer”, but he has since put everything into his new role.
He had to face poor weather, disobedient animals and an unprecedented pandemic, all of which made the experience more challenging.
Clarkson quickly learned how the role entailed much more than he had anticipated.
At this moment in time, there is no news of a second season just yet, but viewers can keep their fingers crossed.
Express.co.uk has inquired as to whether a second season is indeed on the way.
Clarkson is a hugely popular star and his latest venture has already received lots of attention.
The trailer for the series opens with the presenter driving a tractor straight into the side of a building.
He was later seen trying to herd sheep, and he soon realised it was a huge challenge.
Fans expressed an interest in the show early on, with one commenting on the trailer: “This man could make a programme commenting on paint drying and I’d still watch it.”
Another said: “As a farm owner who knows nothing about how to run a farm I can tell you that this is gonna be good.”
When the trailer was first released, fans of Clarkson said they could not wait to find out more about his latest project.
If season two is given the green light by Prime Video, it will most likely air in the summer of 2022.
This will give Clarkson enough time to document his progress when it comes to managing crops and animals.
First, the streaming platform will need to assess the viewership ratings before making a decision.
Critics, including the Financial Times, have called the series an “agricultural gem”.
The positive reviews set the series in good stead for a second season, and Clarkson expressed his gratitude.
He shared some reviews on Instagram, along with plenty of photos of the stunning farm.
The Grand Tour Twitter account shared a clip from the video, which shows Clarkson receiving an email inviting him to enter the Farmer of the Year awards.
He says: “Why would I not do that?” before a montage of bloopers is shown.
Cruising along in his Lamborghini R8 tractor, he certainly looks the part.
However, it is not long before he faces trouble when he realises the tractor is too big to manoeuvre around the farm.
He claims he has “used his genius” to come up with new farming methods, such as using sheep to mow a field instead of machines.
Fans are already keen to find out what he has next up his sleeve with regards to improving the farm.
Hopefully, more information on season two will come to light in the coming weeks.
