If you like to enjoy a cheeky dinner out at Wetherpoons now and again, then listen up, as one food fan has shared a clever money-saving hack.

The Spoons punter took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a way to save on the brand's Chicken Halloumi Burger. And he's now been hailed 'the next Martin Lewis'.

Writing on the site, the social media user known as @AnErrorOfComedy shared a photo of a student named Joe enjoying a Chicken Halloumi burger in the pub and said he'd just told him a clever money-saving tip.

He wrote: "This man has just told me his secret. Ordering the halloumi burger with chicken is £1 cheaper than the chicken burger with halloumi at Wetherspoons."

The post has since gone viral after being shared this week after racking up more than 129,000 views. Many were impressed, as one person exclaimed: "I think we’ve found the next Chancellor," while another added: "That’s the kinda advice Martin Lewis needs to be giving. Real money saving tips." A third also asked: "What other secrets does this man hold?"

The post comes after Wetherspoons revealed it's new Christmas menu earlier this month, much to the delight of fans. And there are some right bargains on there for you to try, including a traditional Turkey dinner and a festive pizza.
