From decadent lattes to luxurious hot chocolates, there’s plenty to choose from this year when it comes to festive drinks.
Express.co.uk has rounded up 2023’s Christmas drink releases from Starbucks, Pret A Manger, Costa Coffee, Caffè Nero and McDonald’s.
Pret A Manger
Pret’s famous Christmas menu is back and includes three seasonal drinks – a salted caramel latte, Merry Berry Hot Chocolate and gingerbread latte.
Salted Caramel Latte
A decadent treat topped with whipped cream and salted caramel pieces.
Merry Berry Hot Chocolate
This delicious beverage features raspberry syrup and whipped cream topped with raspberry crumbs.

Gingerbread Latte
This customer-favourite is deliciously warming with gingerbread syrup, whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon. Perfect for getting you in the mood for Christmas.
All of Pret A Manger’s Christmas drinks are included in their Club Pret subscription and are available now.
Starbucks
Starbucks’ new Christmas offering is a Hazelnut Crunch Hot Chocolate which is made with cocoa powder and steamed creamy milk. The delicious-looking beverage is topped with a chocolate whip and crunchy chocolate and hazelnut topping.
Prices for a hazelnut crunch hot chocolate start from £4.25 for a tall size.
As well as their new offering, Starbucks has also welcomed back some of their return drinks including their toffee nut latte, caramel waffle latte and eggnog latte.
The toffee nut latte can be enjoyed hot, iced, as a cold brew or a frappuccino and prices start from £4.30.
The caramel waffle latte combines caramel waffle sauce and steamed milk with espresso. The beverage is finished with whipped cream and a spiced caramel waffle crunch topping.
The eggnog latte has also made a comeback and is available hot or iced from £4.35. This beverage is delicious yet simple with espresso complemented with eggnog sauce.

Costa Coffee
Costa Coffee’s Christmas drink menu never disappoints and this year, the nation’s favourite coffee shop is offering a new beverage – a sticky toffee latte and iced latte. Both delicious drinks feature a sticky toffee-flavoured sauce and are finished with cream.
Costa Coffee is also introducing a roasted hazel latte and hot chocolate this year which are filled with roasted hazelnut syrup and topped with cream and mini gold stars. Prices for the sticky toffee and roasted hazel drinks start from £3.95.
As well as Costa Coffee’s new offering, they’re also welcoming back several festive drinks from last year including the Terry’s Chocolate Orange hot chocolate and the After Eight hot chocolate. Both are served with either a segment of Terry’s Chocolate Orange or an After Eight thin. Prices start from £4.20.
Costa is also bringing back their gingerbread and cream latte which is available from £3.95. The iconic drink includes a complimentary mini gingerbread biscuit on the side.
Costa fans will also be delighted to know that the black forest and cream hot chocolate is also back this year.

Caffè Nero
Coffee house brand Caffè Nero has released a mouth-watering Christmas menu that includes a mix of new items and returning favourites.
Caffè Nero is also introducing an exclusive Winter Blend into the mix which means even your plain latte can have the essence of Christmas. The Winter Blend is made with 100 percent Arabica beans from El Salvador, Honduras and Ethiopia and includes notes of plum, praline, orange and a hint of spice.
Caffè Nero’s 2023 festive line-up includes new mouthwatering additions such as the Panettone Latte, Florentine Mocha and the Millionaires Hot Chocolate.
These are Caffè Nero’s new Christmas beverages:
Florentine Mocha – from £4.30
The Florentine Mocha is inspired by the sweet Italian biscuit which is traditionally packed with dried fruits, zesty citrus peel and flaked nuts, sticky caramel and coated in a thin layer of chocolate.
The new drink from Caffè Nero has a cocoa base, salted caramel notes and a new festive panettone syrup. The drink is balanced out with espresso and finished with whipped cream and a scoop of chocolate chips for added festive indulgence.
Millionaire’s Hot Chocolate – from £4.30
A decadent, rich hot chocolate inspired by Caffè Nero’s bestselling sweet item – caramel shortbread. The hot chocolate is flavoured with salted caramel, topped with a limited edition chocolate cream and finished off with a drizzle of caramel sauce.
Panettone Latte – from £4.30
Panettone is a sweet Italian festive cake made from a buttery enriched dough that consists of sweet, dried fruits and candied citrus peel. Caffè Nero’s coffee-flavoured take on this iconic Italian sweet bread includes Alpro Oat Milk, and a new panettone syrup.
This festive beverage is topped with plant-based creamy whip and a sprinkle of festive cinnamon.

McDonald’s
The fast-food giant has added two new Galaxy chocolate-themed beverages to their McCafé® range. The new set of drinks are from “The Galaxy Range” and are the first Christmas-themed items to be added to their range this year.
Galaxy Caramel Latte
The Galaxy Caramel Latte is blended with Galaxy caramel syrup, and topped with caramel cream and chocolate stars. McDonald’s customers can pick up the delicious beverage from £2.69.
Galaxy Caramel Hot Chocolate
Another decadent offering from McDonald’s, this hot chocolate is mixed with caramel syrup, topped with caramel cream and chocolate stars. Customers can enjoy the delicious drink from just £2.19.
