Most kids only have a few loose coins in their piggy banks.
So when mum Clarissa Garza found almost £200 hidden in one of her daughter’s toys, she was baffled.
On her TikTok page @rissa_xo.xo, the Texas-based parent revealed how her five-year-old had been hoarding small bills.
She said: "She's five, so I don't know where she would get money from. Let's see how much is in here."
Clarissa counted up many $1 notes, as well as the odd $20 and single $100.
It came to a grand total of $247 (around £187) – and many couldn’t stifle their laughter when they found out where the primary school child had got them from.
In the viral video, Clarissa asked her daughter: “Where did you find that money at?”
Then to her surprise, the little one replied: “In your purse”.
According to the five-year-old, the money was only hidden away “to keep it safe”.
More than 23.8 million people have viewed the clip, with one joking: “Girl has more money than me.”
Another laughed: “She is saving for her future – she knows how hard it’s gonna be!”
A third wrote: “I’d let her save the money. That’s somewhat a good habit to save. Starting early.”
A fourth said: “Hoarding money at such a young age. Now she is smart!”
And another added: "Obviously she's better at finances considering you didn't even know it was missing."
