Miss England backs Three Lions v Germany as model & doctor watches from hospital

Miss England has backed the Three Lions to win Euro 2020.

Dr Bhasha Mukherjee, from Derby, has taken time out from her hectic work schedule to cheer Gareth Southgate’s side on.

The 25-year-old said: “I love football and have been watching all the TV screens in the hospital where I work when England play to cheer them on.”

Bhasha, who returned from a humanitarian trip to work at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, Lincs, during the pandemic, thinks England will beat Germany 3-1.

We’ll see if the pageant star’s predictions are correct as the Three Lions clash with Germany tomorrow at 5pm.

It’s the third meeting the old rivals have had in the European Championship – and England will need a win if they’re to get to the quarter finals.

If England scoops victory tomorrow, it will be the first time they have beaten their historic rivals at a major tournament in 21 years.

Fans believe the line-up has been leaked by captain Harry Kane ahead of the match.

But despite all the speculation, we won't find out who makes the starting 11 until tomorrow.

The winner of England vs Germany goes through to a quarter-final against Ukraine or Sweden in Rome on July 3.

Whoever wins will then face either Denmark or Czech Republic in the semi-final.
