With a new home in Santa Barbara, and after cutting ties with the British royal family professionally, Meghan Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry are setting up shop in their new lives. Though the pair have spent the last several months having some much-needed family time and house hunting, the Sussexes are getting back to work amid the coronavirus (COVD-19) pandemic.
The couple has been volunteering at organizations like Baby 2 Baby. They’ve also been appearing at the various virtual events.
Meghan has been vocal about how happy she is to be back in America. However, Prince Harry seems to still be finding his footing. In fact, the prince appears to be having trouble wrapping his mind around one thing.
Prince Harry struggled in the royal family for years
Though Meghan has been painted as the villain who stole the prince away from his family, in truth, Prince Harry was unhappy in Prince William’s shadow for many years. When he married the duchess he thought they could carve out space for themselves in royal life. Unfortunately, they were met with opposition at every turn.
In their best-selling book, Finding Freedom, Carolyn Durand, and Omid Scobie reveal that the prince believes the royal family used him and Meghan. “He felt at once used for their popularity, hounded by the press because of the public’s fascination with this new breed of the royal couple, and disparaged back within the institution’s walls,” they explained. Amid Megxit, the pair have a chance to define themselves and their work as they see fit. An insider explained to Hollywood Life,
Harry and Meghan are working on so many different initiatives and so many charities. They have a great team working with them, but the workload is still intense and it doesn’t leave a lot of time to worry about this book. They are focused on the future and what they can do to help out during this pivotal time in history.

Prince Harry is determined to make it in Hollywood
Now that he’s away from the glaring spotlights of the U.K. and LA and in his own home in Santa Barbara, the prince is ready to define his legacy. Already Variety is reporting that the Sussexes have been “quietly shopping an idea for a project” to various media companies.
Since he has done something so unprecedented, Prince Harry is also determined that his new life will work. A source explained to Us Weekly,
Harry’s determined to make it in Hollywood, just as much as Meghan. He’s focusing on making documentaries connected to good causes — not just on the production side of things. We’ll also be seeing him in front of the camera, more as a spokesperson than anything else. Working in the entertainment industry isn’t something he particularly thought about doing as royal, but since separating from the royals, he now has the opportunity to explore new, exciting opportunities and can’t wait to get his upcoming projects off the ground.

As part of the partnership, the Invictus Games Foundation have a team participating in London’s #Softball60, the social softball series built for the city and targeted to introduce the sport to new audiences and demonstrate that it is an inclusive sport. Meghan Markle hates when Prince Harry calls himself too old
Still, despite his excitement, it appears that Prince Harry has some major fears about this new chapter of his life — namely that he’s “too old” to start over.
During a recent Zoom call for the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, the Sussexes spoke about using the internet for good. Toward the end of the call, the prince complimented the young people doing the work while commenting on his own age. “I love that fact that you’re all so well connected as well,” he said to the other participants on the call, via People “That’s why this platform was created—to bind you guys together. To use that thinking, that awareness, that self-awareness that you guys have to be able to make the world a better place. I say ‘you’—I want to include us, but I already feel as I’m way too old…”
Meghan jokingly interrupted the prince’s dig at his age saying, “You’ve got to stop,” she laughed. “You’re not old!”
Though the prince went on to reflect on his upcoming 36th birthday, we think Meghan’s right on this one, you’re never too old to make a change or do good.
