'Aliens' on display in Mexico have left officials in Peru raging – and they've started criminal proceedings against the journalist who allegedly stole them.
Mexico's Congress baffled the world last week when they showcased the two apparent alien bodies, which are said to have three-fingered hands and feet, in miniature glass coffins for everyone to see. According to experts, the aliens are believed to be at least 1,000 years old.
An official report claims the two mummified specimens were recovered from Cusco, Peru before being brought to the Mexican capital. A video of the 'alien' corpses on display at Congress has since gone viral on social media, leaving millions of people in disbelief.

The unusual event, dubbed a ‘ UFO hearing’, is being co-hosted by scientists and Mexican journalist and ufologist Jaime Maussan. Both Mr Mausaan and scientists had been investigating the extraterrestrial phenomenon for decades.
But now 70-year-old Maussan is wanted on criminal charges in Peru, brought to light by Peruvian Culture Minister Leslie Urteaga. He also confirmed that no scientists in the country of Peru confirmed that the remains are of an alien origin, either.
He said: “I think I can only say what I remember right now, I believe there is a lawsuit from the Peru Ministry of Culture against some people who were linked to the theft of these Pre-hispanic assets. There is a criminal complaint from the Ministry of Culture against some people who had a relationship with these gentlemen.

“I am going to ask for information to see what has happened, about the removal of pre-Hispanic objects, because I understand they are part of pre-Hispanic bone remains."
It is not clear exactly what the criminal charges are, and the jury is still out on whether or not the supposed-aliens made public by Mexico are actually real or not.
