A glamorous model and animal rights activist was humiliated in school by a teacher who said she was “as slow as a turtle” – something she has used as motivation ever since.
Stella Paris, who went on to score all As and Bs in her GSCEs, believes she eventually proved her cruel professor wrong.
She later studied at university before ditching gruelling hospital shifts as a radiographer to explore dancing and modelling. This led to her moving from Malta to London in 2014 before landing a job as a Babestation presenter.

Stella, 36, now uses her social media presence to promote her activism work which saw her do a naked protest against a puppy factory that breeds beagles for medical research.
Now, speaking to Daily Star about hearing her teacher’s comments when she was just eight-years-old, she said: “When I told my parents about it they got really angry because she was not trying to push me forward positively.
“She was just trying to run me down. To be honest she wasn’t the best teacher ever looking back. It made me feel embarrassed in front of the other children but when I got home I studied even more and I really focused on all the subjects and wanted to have the last laugh basically.
“The way I feel is that when people try to run me down and tell me I am this, I am that, you can’t do this, I will try even harder to prove them wrong to show them I can actually do it.
“I am very proud because I have managed to do a lot of things because of that. Imagine if I didn’t get out of that, it could easily have gone wrong.
“I could easily have not believed in myself and one thing could have led to another and I wouldn’t have done the things I have done or gone to the places I have gone. My life could have been completely different in so many ways, it is like a butterfly effect.”
Stella, who also runs a vegan restaurant, is now settled in the UK and despite her career successes, she suffered personal trauma after dating Britain’s most wanted man who she had no idea was on the run for murder.
And she recently revealed to us that she was considering visiting Christopher Guest More in prison, despite him serving a life-sentence for torturing a dad to death in front of his kids.
She met him after he fled Britain for Malta and the abusive relationship is still difficult for her to discuss. But she has come a long way since then and she is now thriving personally and professionally
But as for whether she would prefer to be known as a Babestation presenter or as an activist, she told us: “I am proud to do both.
“But I prefer to be known as a vegan activist. I feel empowered by my sexuality as a woman and I myself believe that working with a company like Babestation gives me a certain power and I think that’s very feminist.
“There are feminists who say they are feminists but they don’t support women who are sex workers or wear sexy clothing or being glamorous.
“There are also others who fully embrace their sexuality and to inspire and bring pleasure to others and bring pleasure to others without causing any harm.
“We are not causing any harm, we are not killing anyone are we? And I will always be a vegan activist and the reason why is I am passionate and compassionate towards animals, from the smallest spider to the biggest elephant.
“If I see a snail crossing the pavement and I know that it is going to get busy with people I will place the snail in a bush in safety. So being vegan and advocating for animal rights, it’s not just about what you eat or how much you talk it's about the little things you do in your daily life.”
And one of her recent actions involved posing semi-naked alongside other Babestation models outside MBR Acres in Huntington, Cambs, where 2,000 dogs are bred annually.
The beagle puppies stay in enclosure before being sold to labs from 16 weeks old. Disturbing footage obtained earlier this year showed the animals being contained in faces-covered cages – with TV host Chris Packham describing it as a “view from hell”.
And Stella said getting her kit off was designed to draw people to a petition to stop animals being used for toxicity tests. More than 100,000 people have signed it, meaning it can now be debated in parliament.
Speaking about the campaign, Stella said: “Oh my gosh I was so happy. The demonstrations we did pushed it further and it made a lot of people aware of what is happening.
“We got stars like Jodie Marsh before the deadline and Tom Hardy shared it in his story but not just once he repeatedly shared it over and over again making sure a lot of people signed it.
“It reached over 100,000 and I was really really happy. But that is only the start.”
