A mum has been slammed for the ‘healthy’ meal she chose in order to battle her food addiction – with many claiming they ‘didn’t see the point’ to the ‘unappetising’ dish.
Sierra, from the US, has been struggling to lose weight and eat healthy after giving birth.
Her family recently went out to a popular chain restaurant for dinner – where the new mum made the controversial choice to forgo the bread and simply order the stuffing from her favourite sandwich.
The meal consisted of lettuce, cold cuts, and sliced onions along with some salad dressing.
‘Got a sub in a bowl yesterday,’ she shared. ‘It was hard for me to take off the bread and tell them I only wanted the bowl with meat and onions. Though, I did it. I was so proud. My addiction to food for so many years is hard to break – every step counts.’

Some told Sierra she didn’t have to eat out if she wanted healthy meals.
‘Eating in moderation is always good and all, but if we look at it a little logically having everything you would eat just without bread is a little silly. And that meat looks like raw chicken,’ a woman said.
‘They sell this stuff in the grocery store too – cheaper and cleaner with a better variety,’ another added.
Many claimed the meal looked like lettuce with raw meat.
‘Is this not just a salad? And is that chicken raw?’ one asked.
‘I’m trying to see it as cold cuts … I just can’t see it. It looks like a raw chopped up drumstick to me,’ another said.

Many applauded the mum’s effort.
‘For a lot of people, processed bread is bad for their diet and means they could choose a tastier carb at a different meal. So it’s a conscious effort to try and be healthier,’ a woman defended.
‘Some people don’t understand small decisions like this with food are difficult! It might seem like a small step for some, but I know how hard it is!’ another said.
‘I get this, make a chopped salad out of it, and put it on low carb tortillas,’ one shared.
