Get paid to be a diamond ring tester with this new job opportunity

Are your fingers looking a little bare?

An exciting new job opportunity is offering someone the chance to try out various diamond rings – and earn some cash in the process.

Luxury jeweller Austen & Blake is currently looking to recruit a diamond ring tester, who can wear a new piece every week for 14 weeks.

Plus, they are willing to pay the individual £1,400 for their efforts.

The chosen candidate will test out white, yellow and black diamonds, as well as emeralds, blue sapphires and rubies in a range of cuts and settings.

They’ll then be asked to report back on how they wear.

So, if you’re hoping to receive an engagement ring in the future, it could be an excellent way to see which stones and cuts you prefer.

Applications for this job open this weekend, June 25, for a month – and the chosen candidate will be selected no later than July 26.

But those who don’t get selected will also be offered a 10% discount code.

Speaking about the position, diamond expert Anthony French said: ‘As a luxury jeweller, we want to ensure that all of our engagement rings offer both beauty and practicality. By bringing in our very own diamond ring tester, we hope we can get answers to some pretty important questions.

‘Think, is it too heavy? Do the prongs catch on your clothes when getting dressed? Does it get in the way when washing up? How practical is it for everyday wear? Does it sparkle enough? What kind of comments do you get from friends, family and strangers?

‘We want to know all of the above so that we can continue to make the most beautiful pieces that fit into your life seamlessly.

‘This is the perfect job for someone who is yet to have a ring on their finger or even someone who just wants the ring without the commitment to another person.’
