  • KANE IN UTD BOOST

Manchester United target Harry Kane has dealt Spurs a hammer blow by admitting he's “ambitious” and won't hang around at the club “for the sake of it”.

The England captain, 26, has been at Tottenham since 2004 and is already their third-highest goalscorer ever.

But Kane insists sentiment alone will not hold him back from becoming one of the world's “best” players.

Kane said: “I love Spurs, I'll always love Spurs.

“But I've always said, if I don't feel we're going in the right direction then I'm not someone who will just stay for the sake of it.

“I'm an ambitious player, I want to become one of the best players.”

  • FOOTBALL isn't returning to the Theatre of Dreams any time soon.

The Premier League is still hoping to complete the 2019/20 season, but a decision is yet to made with the coronavirus pandemic raging across Europe.

Bruno Fernandes has already shown up club-record signing Paul Pogba, according to Emmanuel Petit.

The £55million January signing has instantly become a huge fan favourite having helped fire the Red Devils into top-four contention.

Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes the Portuguese international will become a natural leader in the squad.

And in a twist, Aaron Ramsey is set to join United in a Pogba swap deal with Solskjaer a big fan of the Juventus star, reports claim.

Juve are offering up ex-Arsenal midfieler Ramsey to the Red Devils in a bid to secure Pogba in the summer transfer window.

Old Trafford boss Solskjaer is reportedly open to signing the Welshman after being offered the Juve ace in return for Paul Pogba, it has been claimed.

And in other transfer news, the race for Jadon Sancho is really hotting up.

The Bundesliga club are willing to let him return to the Premier League – but not for less than £120million.

Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke itold Bild: “You always have to respect what the player wants.

“We said before coronavirus that our favourite idea is that Jadon will stay with us.

“I can say that even the very rich clubs, despite the existing crisis, don’t believe they can go on a bargain tour with us.

“We don’t have to sell anyone below value.”
