Stacey Dooley proud as she shares rare family snap with daughter Minnie

Stacey Dooley has shared how she is 'so proud' of her family-of-three with beau Kevin Clifton and their baby daughter Minnie, who she gave birth to in January.

The documentary maker, who met professional dancer Kevin while appearing on Strictly Come Dancing, is enjoying time away in US – where she is mixing work and family time.

Sharing a rare snap with her daughter, Stacey beamed and threw up a peace sign as Kevin held Minnie behind her. Posting to her 1.1M followers, she wrote: "My FAMILY. So proud of us …us. Now let’s enjoy San Fran for a couple of days.. I’ve just wrapped and fancy a treat…. Recs for SF shopping PLS?!"

Since welcoming Minnie earlier this year, the couple have kept family life fairly private, with Stacey keeping social media snaps of her little one to a minimum.

But she did give fans an insight into family life with Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over: Family And Me, the latest of her W specials.

“Me and Kev have had various conversations, you know – do we show Minnie?” she says. “I want her to be able to give genuine consent. She’s not going to be in the limelight," she explained during the show.

Kevin also explained he'd rather Minnie chose a different career path to his own – a professional dancer – as he cited the industry as "too competitive a world."

While they have a similar approach when it comes to their own life as a couple, admitting previously that, despite meeting on TV, they want to keep things as private as possible.

In 2019, Stacey told the Guardian: "Kev and I have agreed not to go into too much detail about our private lives because you can't really indulge that and then ask for privacy."

The couple have been together for five years, but have admitted recently they don't have plans to tie the knot anytime soon.

Stacey explained during her documentary that her boyfriend has 'done it before' so it doesn't interest her too much. Kevin was previously married to fellow Strictly professional Karen Hauer, and prior to that, dancer Clare Craze.

"Marriage has just never been massively important to me," Stacey said. "And also obviously it's very well documented Kev’s done it a couple of times before so you do have to bear that in mind. Coming down the aisle, 'Hello everyone, I know what you're all thinking.'"
