Here’s a synopsis: Samantha “Sam” Abrams (Smith), a witty, studious and street-smart high school senior from New York City, is adjusting to a new reality after her family relocates to a rural southern community in Tennessee. Once the culture shock wears off, she stumbles into feelings for a charming yet wayward Dillon (Joyner), a country boy and high school athlete with a maverick’s spirit. With Sam adamantly focused on her future, and Dillon contently stuck in idle, the two learn that sometimes the most unsuspecting people in life have the most meaningful impact.

Owen will also be reunited with Paul Becker, who will choreograph. They worked together on Julie and the Phantoms.

“ahhhhh im so excited to share this beautiful film with you all 🤍 first film ever with literally the coolest people in the world :)” Savannah shared on Instagram.

Owen commented, “this movie looks really good…. :)”

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to help bring Something Here to life alongside my incredible collaborators,” Jordan shared in a statement. “At such a complicated and pertinent moment in time, we’re leaning deeply into telling a beautiful story that will hopefully deliver a message of acceptance for those of us that often feel out of place.”

If you didn’t know, this will actually only be Savannah‘s second project ever, following the Gossip Girl revival, which returns for part two of season one this month!
