Molly-Mae Hague has hit back at critics and defended her decision to show off her new home after she and boyfriend Tommy Fury were previously victims of a terrifying burglary.
Love Island stars Molly and Tommy, both 22, have just bought their “dream home” – and the PrettyLittleThing creative director has shared the first peek inside the sprawling mansion on social media.
She has even set up a new dedicated Instagram account for the house to update her followers, as she announced: “It finally happened…Our NEW CHAPTER!!! @mollymaison_."
But many of Molly's followers voiced their concerns after the couple had £800,000 worth of their possessions stolen by an "experienced gang", who specifically targeted their Manchester apartment last year.
“Literally why have u posted this when u got robbed a month ago,” one person wrote on Instagram.
Another questioned: “Didn’t you learn from last time to not show off your house?”
A third added: “Didn’t Molly Mae’s apartment get robbed few months ago? Now she’s opened another insta account for her new house.”
However, in a new YouTube video, Molly opened up about her decision to create a home account despite previously being targeted.
“It’s been a bit of a tricky one,” she explained. “I know I’m going to get a lot of opinions about having a home account after what happened with the burglary at the apartment.
"I think a lot of people will be expecting me to not show an inch of the new place.

“But since this house search started, I’ve dreamt of having a home account.
"And I feel like to let previous events and a horrible situation affect what we decide to do in the future… I don’t know. To stop me from doing things I want to do. Why would I do that?”
She added: “I’m only going to be showing little snippets. It’s not going to be anything crazy.”
Taking to Instagram to share the news she’s bought her own home after years of searching, she wrote: “So…hey guys. I can't believe we've actually gotten to this point.
“A 3 year search for our first home, which some of you will have followed has finally come to an end!!!
"I know a lot of you won't have been expecting me to do a home account as I have become a lot more private about what I post of our home life…
"However having a home account is something that I've always dreamed of doing. I've decided that I don't want to let the past control my future, the way I live my life, and what I share with you guys."
