Laura Anderson has been criticised for taking her baby daughter on a flight, with a mum-shamer questioning if it was "really necessary" on social media.
Former Love Islander Laura, 34, flew from her homeland Scotland to London with baby Bonnie and her mum recently, marking Bonnie's first time on a plane. The new mum marked the milestone moment with a series of photos on Instagram, telling fans she'd had a "lovely little trip".
While many flocked to gush over the post, some Instagram users were quick to question Laura over her decision to take daughter on a flight at only one month old.
"Was it really necessary to take such a young baby on a flight? Their ears must have been hurting like mad," one person commented with a teary-eyed emoji.
Laura was quick to justify her decision and shared her tip for flying with a newborn. She responded: "You feed during take off and landing so they swallow she didn't even flinch. In my opinion it's better for them to get used to travelling at a young age."
However, the majority of Laura's comments were positive, with many gushing over baby Bonnie. One person sweetly penned: "Beautiful bubba, Bonnie has the prettiest little face x," as a second wrote: "Gorgeous pics Laura".
Laura welcomed her first child with ex-boyfriend Gary Lucy in September, following the pair's break-up in February after meeting on Celebs Go Dating in 2022.
Following Bonnie's birth, rumours began speculating Gary and Laura had rekindled their romance and Laura asked fans not to ask about their relationship as she announced Bonnie's arrival on Instagram.
She penned: "B O N N I E. Hi everyone, my name is Bonnie Rose Lucy Anderson. I was born 02/09/23 at 06.03 am and weighed 6.10lbs. My Mummy & Daddy are sooooo happy and in love with me this is our first week together.
"I’m sorry it’s taken me some time to introduce myself, I hurt my mummy a little bit and scared my daddy too (oops) we’re all now recovering well at home. Please don’t question My Mummy & Daddy on their relationship- This.. is all about me."
Laura has been documenting her journey as a first-time mum on Instagram over the past month, sharing her best tips and must-have baby items with fans.
The mum-of-one has also shown off her postpartum body in several different clips, and most recently shared photos from the day she went to get Bonnie officially registered.
