David Beckham has praised Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson after the latter portrayed him for Halloween.
The former England international played for Manchester United between 1992 and 2003, and made 394 appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils.
Following the release of his Netflix documentary, Beckham, last month, the star has seen a resurgence of his glory days in popular culture.
This year, actor Edward Norton and Shauna Robertson have channelled David, 48, and his wife Victoria Beckham for spooky season, as well as WWE wrestler Dwayne, 51.
In pictures shared to the ex-footballer’s 84.8 million Instagram followers, The Rock could be seen sporting a 2023/24 Man U home shirt with Beckham and the iconic number 7 branded on the back.

“He looks like Hulk Hogan not David Beckham,” commented one fan.
However, other Instagram users were quick to point out that the United shirt seemed to lack the official Adidas sponsor logo.
Many have called The Rock out for buying a “fake” football shirt. However, one fan has weighed in on why Dwayne may have opted to go without it.
They commented: “There seem to be a lot of people who don’t understand how being sponsored and has signed a contract works.
“When being sponsored by a clothes brand you are unable to wear any other brands that have a visible logo, you are only allowed to wear branded clothing that do not have a visible logo.
“So this tops could still be a of the brand but has just had the brand logo taken off of the front of the top,” they added.
The Rock has famously been signed with sportswear company Under Armour since 2016.
The brand also exclusively houses his ‘Project Rock’ collection.
