Carol Vorderman, 60, has spoken out about her relationship status and it’s safe to say she’s very much happy on her own at the moment. The TV personality admitted that the thought of having some romantically in her life “makes her feel positively sick”.

Carol is often rumoured in the press to be cosying up to a new fella’ since her relationship with boyfriend Graham Duff ended in 2016.

The two were together for two years, and she hasn’t publicly dated anyone since.

But she’s adamant that it’s not in the stars for her; not yet anyway.

In a recent interview, the blonde bombshell said: “The thought of sharing my life with someone again makes me feel positively sick.”

Earlier this year, the former Countdown star posted some cryptic tweets on Valentine’s Day as she revealed someone in Wales “knows who they are” and that she loves them.

During the first coronavirus lockdown, Carol had some tongues wagging about who she could be taking about.

She posted a photo of a Welsh dragon on a love heart, as she hails from North Wales herself.

“This…… #HappyValentinesDay to all the people I love in Wales….you know who you are,” she hinted.

In a separate tweet, she added: “Happy Valentine’s … Mine’s a tea in bed ….thanks”.

While happily single, Carol also ventured onto more pressing matters about “the sexism and misogyny” in the media.

While she noted that her appearance was usually the go-to to report on rather than her other accomplishments, she recalled one time when she was working as a host on Loose Women when she called for more women who run companies to appear as guests on the popular daytime program.

She remembered that she had once asked ITV producers to consider bringing in specific guests such as female business tycoons onto the show, but her request was turned down.

Carol used present the daytime show from 2011 until 2014 when she decided to leave the panel due to other work committments.

She didn’t give an explanation as why her request was dismissed, but ITV declined to comment when approached by

She said: “When I hosted Loose Women for a few years, I used to ask [the producers], ‘Why can’t we have interesting women who run [companies] as our guests?’

“And they would go, ‘Oh no’.”

The chat show features a wide array of guests discussing all things from politics and current affairs to the latest gossip all from a female perspective, where viewers get to meet the celebrities behind the headlines.
