Former Blue Peter presenter, Katy Hill has shared photos of a large scar she has been left with after hitting her head on a toilet 18 months ago.

The radio presenter, 50, shared her healed injury with her fans after “face-planting” into the toilet while running after her daughter up the stairs at her home in Oxfordshire.

Katy was quickly rushed to hospital and received internal and external stitches after her traumatic injury which has now left her with a deep scar in the centre of her forehead.

The mum-of-two told The Sun in a recent interview that had she landed slightly to the left or right of her injury, she may not have survived the fall.

She said: “It was a bad one and I was very grateful that the impact went down the centre of my forehead.

“As I found out from the doctors, if it had been slightly to either side, I might not be here now because the skull is thin in those parts.

“The irony isn’t lost on me that I used to jump out of planes and all sorts, and yet I injure myself in this way.”
