BBC Strictly Come Dancings Bobby Brazier ends speculation about girlfriend

Strictly: Bobby performs couple’s choice in tribute to mum

Bobby Brazier has finally responded to rumours he has a secret girlfriend as he puts the speculation to end once and for all.

The Strictly Come Dancing star has been linked to a few women recently, Tillie Amarte, who is doing the Strictly Christmas special this year, and Scarlett Taylor-Sheridan.

However, he insisted to The Mirror: “I have no girlfriend.”

The 20-year-old who is partnered with Dianne Buswell on the BBC show has been lauded for their on-screen chemistry.

Dianne, 34, is dating her previous Strictly partner Joe Sugg, and brushed off any romance speculation with Bobby.

She told the publication: “That happens every year, it’s just part of it,” as Bobby added: “Especially when we’re both so good-looking.”

Bobby’s clarification comes after he paid tribute to his late mum Jade Goody on the BBC show on Saturday night.

The Eastenders star performed a Couple’s Choice dance to This Woman’s Work by Kate Bush.

In his VT before his performance, the actor said: “I’d love to spend the day with her, just to see where I get my smile from.”

Jade tragically died at the age of 27 after being diagnosed with cervical cancer, when Bobby was just four years old.

After the dance, the pair received a standing ovation and the judges praised the model for his emotional performance.

Shirley Ballas and Anton du Beke both struggled to hold back the tears as they critiqued the BBC star’s dance.

Shirley said the dance had the “most beautiful true movements through the body as you danced it through your heart.”

The duo was awarded an impressive 37 points, making them second on the leaderboard just behind Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola.

Bobby’s dad Jeff Brazier and his brother Freddie were cheering him on in the audience, and Jeff was left beside himself with tears.

Strictly Come Dancing: The Results airs tonight at 7:20pm on BBC One.
