Anne Hegerty admits Chasers have a hidden WhatsApp group to b**** about bosses

The Chase: Anne Hegerty tells Bradley 'I hate you'

The Chase star Anne Hegerty has revealed that the cast of the ITV show have a secret WhatsApp group to “b****” about the producers.

The personality, who is known as The Governess thanks to her stern demeanour on the show, admitted that the Chasers have two separate WhatsApp groups.

“We have WhatsApp. We have one WhatsApp group that’s got the producers in and another one that hasn’t got the producers in so we can b**** about them,” she laughed, as she spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk.

Revealing that there was a lot of camaraderie between the chasers, she said: “We get on well.

“If someone is having a bad time, if someone [a chaser] was losing a lot, we’d kind of be very reassuring because it could be any of us.

“And we do socialise a lot. Especially when Mark [Labett] is down. Mark is probably the Chaser I know best,” she confessed.

“When he’s filming there’s a restaurant we go to where they know us and people don’t eavesdrop,” the brainy star revealed.

Anne was talking at the launch of the Virgin Media Television autumn schedule launch, having flown into Dublin for the occasion.

The professional quizzer, who has been a fixture on the show since 2010, has also previously admitted to having a close relationship with The Chase host Bradley Walsh, calling the jovial presenter a “legendary presenter”.

“He is just this legendary presenter, and he is just such a nice guy, all the Chasers have such a nice rapport with him,” she said.

Anne also shared that being a chaser is a “tailor made” job for her.

“The fact that it is a job that I can do. It is sort of tailor-made for me and I can earn a decent living just by doing a few hours of work every day, which is brilliant.

“So yeah, it suits me down to a tee. I always say, any time that I am filming for The Chase, the actual filming for The Chase is the easy part of my day and everything else is more difficult so yeah, I absolutely love it.”
