Speaking in a behind-the-scenes video during their exclusive shoot and interview with OK! , boxer Amir Khan reveals that his wife Faryal Makhdoom has never watched any of his fights.
Amir opened up about his future plans and how he is envisioning leaving the ring and boxing behind – something that Faryal is looking forward to.
Amir tells us: “My future plans I think it’s the last chapter of my boxing career. One or two more fights I still have in my body and I still have the energy and then hopefully call it a day.”

Looking at his beautiful wife, he continues: “Hopefully Faryal will be ringside for the last two and she can watch.”
Mother-of-three Faryal then says: “I never watch Amir fight ever. I don’t even watch after the fight’s over. I think it’s too tough.
“That’s why I wouldn’t let my son Zaviyar go into boxing. Hopefully this is it, we’ve been through the highs and lows in Amir’s career and it’s just good to know that one or two fights and finally Amir said he’d call it a day.”
Amir, 33, and Faryal, 28, are parents to baby son Zaviyar, as well as daughters Lamaisah and Alayna.
Amir revealed he would forbid his son from stepping into the ring, as he has “taken the punches” for his kids.
Speaking in the clip, Amir told us: “As a father, I like to be there for all my kids. I’m going to be very supportive and whatever they want to do I’ll be on their side."

He added: “I’ve been asked by a lot of people would you ever let him go in the boxing ring and fight. Look, I’ve done that for my kids, I’ve taken the punches for them and I would never like to see them punched in the face to be honest with you.
“But, if he wants to box – if Zaviyar says: ‘Look Daddy, I want to go to the boxing gym,’ I cannot stop him I will let him go there and let him pick what he wants to do himself.
“It’s a very tough sport to be in but like I said as a father I like to be there for all my kids. I’m going to be very supportive and whatever they want to do I’ll be on their side.”
