Adele says she works out three times a day in frank weight loss discussion

Adele has spoken about her weight loss journey in a brand new tell-all interview, revealing that she exercises three times a day.

Ahead of the release of her new single, the 33-year-old superstar has spoken to Vogue and addresses the fact she's lost over 11 pounds in a two-year period.

After stating that people have been talking about her body "for 12 years," Adele says she has become "fit and 'ealfy" since moving to Los Angeles.

She explains: "I think one of the reasons people lost the plot was because actually, it was over a two-year period.

"It was because of my anxiety. Working out, I would just feel better," the star continues. "It was never about losing weight, it was always about becoming strong and giving myself as much time every day without my phone. I got quite addicted to it. I work out two or three times a day."

The singer adds that she does weight training in the mornings, hiking or boxing in the afternoon and a second cardio session in the evenings.

Adele is also keen to note that exercising this frequently isn't accessible to everyone, highlighting how expensive personal trainers can be.

The star adds: "You don’t need to be overweight to be body positive, you can be any shape or size."

She also makes it clear that her weight loss wasn't a result of her divorce from Simon Konecki or a bid to get a 'revenge body'.

She says: "It’s ridiculous. I think it’s that people love to portray a divorced woman as spinning out of control, like, ‘Oh she must be crackers."

The star also takes the chance to shoot down speculation that her weight loss is due to fad or strict diets.

"Ain’t done that," she tells Vogue. "No intermittent fasting. Nothing. If anything I eat more than I used to because I work out so hard."
