Shoppers are already preparing for Christmas next year as B&M slashes items to cost mere pennies | The Sun

SAVVY shoppers are getting prepared for Christmas 2024 ALREADY thanks to mega discounts in B&M.

The British variety store famed for its cheap prices has slashed the price of yuletide decorations to pennies.

Among the bargains are faux trees slashed by nearly £100, baubles for 8p a pop and tall nutcracker ornaments at 50% off.

Shoppers have flooded into Facebook group Extreme Couponing & Bargains UK to boast about their festive finds.

Mirella Slipek picked up a 91cm silver and white Christmas Nutcracker for just £17.50, down from £35.

Similarly, Valerie Mcqueen picked up Light-up Angels for half-price at £2.50 in the retailer’s South Shields store.

Not only this, but mum-of-two Rae also explained that she wouldn’t recommend getting pregnant to anyone.

As a result of the pressures of being a girl mum, the travel agent shared that at times she just wants to run and hide.

Opening up about her life on social media, Rae revealed: “I actually hate being a mom, I'm not okay.

“I try my best because that’s what I’m supposed to do.

“But I don’t recommend it to anybody.”

Thrilled with her finds in the warehouse, bargain hunter Libbie May Fitzpatrick took to social media to alert other shoppers.

The savvy shopper and content creator gave her followers a close-up look inside the warehouse, as she said: “Come with me to the Argos warehouse.”

The shopper then continued: “If you guys don't know about this, you should get to know.

Libbie also spotted some Sainsbury’s women’s clothes, as well as a variety of electrical items, as she added: “They even have clothes in there as well, so it's definitely worth going and checking it out.

“There's some really, really good prices as well.

“As you can see, there's iPhones, there's so many electronics.

“This is honestly my go to, so if I'm ever wanting something, I always check to see if it's in here.

“This Apple Watch is £150. To me that is a really, really good price.

“They've got loads of laptops as well.

“Don't miss out and grab yourself a bargain.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @libbiemayfitzpatrick, just one day ago, has clearly left many totally stunned, as it has quickly gone viral and has since amassed a staggering 1.4 million views.

Social media users were open-mouthed at the cheap finds and many were eager to express this in the comments.

One person said: “Wow I'm gonna Google it now.”

Another added: “Best shop omg.”

Meanwhile, others revealed that they too love to shop here, as one bargain hunter commented: “Always go here specially near Xmas time.”

Whilst someone else claimed: “I found a two seater, new sofa for £20 once.”

At the same time, many shoppers tagged their friends to alert them to the cheap warehouse.

One mentioned a loved one and asked: “When [are] we going?”

Meanwhile, someone else tagged TikTok users and penned: “Let’s go.”

A 91-YEAR-OLD woman has shared her anti-aging secrets, making her look much younger than her years.

She said her skincare technique is not only free, but it's also the reason men don't wrinkle as much.

Media professional Noora De Silva (@nooradesilva3) interviewed Mary, 91, in a video on TikTok.

"Two tips to look 20 years younger," read the text.

"Usually when I meet people, if I don't tell them my age or talk about ages, they think I'm about 70. I am 91," Mary said.

She implemented a regular routine to keep her skin taut after learning about men's aging.

"I read years ago that men don't wrinkle like women do," she said.

First, she pursed her lips and moved them left and right as a facial exercise.

Next, she tackled under the chin — a problem area for many seeking a more youthful look.

"You would push down with your chin and push up with your hands real hard and do that a few times," she added, demonstrating the technique for the camera.

CHRISTMAS mad Laura Welsh has come up with the perfect way to make crackers for your festive table – and they’re free.

The 44-year-old is in the running for the prestigious Scotland’s Christmas Home of the Year title.

She features alongside four other shortlisted home-owners in the festive special of the BBC programme, judged by telly stars Anna Campbell-Jones, Banjo Beale and new addition architect Danny Campbell.

And one of the top tips Laura has when it comes to decking out her home in style is creating your own crackers with an item many people will have lying around in their garage or lift.

Recruitment firm boss Laura, from East Renfrewshire, said: “I made my christmas crackers myself.

“I only just decorated before Christmas last year so I had excess wallpaper and that meant there was a colour theme, with the navy, gold and sparkle, and the stag motif, running throughout. That means it all ties in to perfection.”

Laura used her leftover wallpaper to make the exterior of the crackers, meaning it matches perfectly in her freshly decorated home.

Commenting on how smart it looked, Judge Anna loved all the details in the dining room,

She said: “The table setting is absolutely amazing. It’s not the kind of place you’d spend Christmas day in your jammies.”

And it’s not the only personal touch in her home.

The Christmas daft mum-of-one makes sure every room in her home sparkles once December hits.

Laura, married to Andrew, 45, and mum to Lexie, six, said: “I absolutely love Christmas, I am looking for ideas and inspiration all year round, it doesn’t really stop.

“I love bling and the energy – we don’t have a quiet household at all. I love being the congregation point and welcoming people into our home.

“We work so hard all year round and when it comes to Christmas, as much as it’s a time for downtime, it’s also a time to see people you can’t see throughout the year because they work so hard all the time.

“On these dark cold and miserable nights, I love nothing more than getting home and putting my lights on and having a little bit of bling in my life. You just feel so much better.”

Laura’s home is up against a cosy cottage, a home with more than 30 trees and a former court house transformed into a traditionally trimmed apartment.

She’s waiting with bated breath to see who takes the top prize when the show airs on Monday at 8pm on BBC Scotland.

A MUM in her fifties who has glowing skin has shared her beauty secrets and said her top tip is something that most people will tell you not to do.

Cristina, who is 54 but looks decades younger, shared the hack via a video posted on her TikTok account where she boasts nearly 300,000 followers.

In the video, Cristina said: "Let me tell you what I do in my skincare routine, that 99% of 'skin-tok' will tell you not to do."

She continued: "At 54 years old, my skin is a flex".

Cristina said that until seven months ago, here skin was "not a flex" until she made a simple change to her skincare routine.

The beauty pro said that her number one tip is exfoliating every single day, sometimes in the morning and sometimes at night.

Cristina then explained the different methods of exfoliation she uses.

She said she sometimes exfoliates using a toner after she cleanses, sometimes uses it as part of her face wash, sometimes exfoliates using peel pads or an overnight peel and sometimes uses "good old fashioned gloves".

The beauty whizz explained that you have to work up to exfoliating every day and recommended starting off by doing it twice a week.

She said: "Never get to the point where you're overdrying your skin. Make sure that you're doing it one step at a time and adding in one extra exfoliation per week."

TikTok users rushed to the video's comments section to share their thoughts on Cristina's hack.

One user said: "I do this and it's amazing".

Another added: "Exfoliation is key for anyone under 40".

A third added: "I exfoliate every day without fail".

A BIRTHDAY dress haul has revealed an important detail for one surprised lady.

Her size-10 Oh Polly shopping spree demonstrated to her that she hates wearing bras.

Fortunately for her, she didn't need one with anything she bought and she was very happy with that.

Turning 35, Lorena Flores (@_floreslorena), a Los Angeles entrepreneur, was planning a celebration party.

But first, she had to decide on an outfit from her haul, and it featured some winners and losers.

“Help me pick out my birthday party dress," she said in her post.

"I’m having a birthday party this weekend and it's an all-white party. [But] I have white dresses, and I have one black jumpsuit and a red dress."

“Everything is from Oh Polly," she said as she proceeded to try on her haul.

Violetta Mini Dress in Red – $52

First out of her shopping bags was the Violetta Mini Dress in in red, with a tie-up at the back.

She was excited to try it on: “Thought it’d be cute. Maybe do like a pop of red. It has this little cupcake flare, I like that."

Long-sleeve Mini Dress in White – $52

This was a dress she was also looking forward to trying on.

It was also a hit with her followers: "This is the dress I was really excited about."

There were some initial reservations, but it had one knockout feature.

"It looks boring from the front, but the party is in the back," she said, turning around for the viewer to catch the full impact of this dress.

She was beginning to fall in love with it: “I like the way it looks with heels."

And there would be no bra with this one either: "With a bit of boob tape and my hair down it might work."

High Neck Open Back White Mini Dress – $49

Next, it was the turn of another white dress, but it wasn't happening for her.

”This is really similar to the long sleeve one but it’s really big.

"Looks like we’re going to Sunday mass. Pass on this one," she said.

Cold Shoulder Jumpsuit in Black – $49

Like her white, bodycon dress, this black bodysuit made an impression and she felt amazing in it.

“I don’t think I’m wearing this for my birthday, but this is so freaking cute.

"It is so comfortable. With heels, it’s the perfect length. Very Jessica rabbit, I love it."

At the end of her haul, one thing was very clear: “Apparently I hate wearing bras.”

Commenters were clear which was their favorite.

“The white long-sleeved one for sure. It looks incredible," said this person.

“White is great, on it's the one. The red needs some accessories" figured another.

A BODY positive woman has detailed how she's no longer hiding her curves.

She said she used to be self-conscious about her legs, but now she's stepping out in mini skirts and boots.

Annalise Stewart (@annaliseestewart) filmed herself wearing the outfit in a video on TikTok.

"Getting over my fear of wearing mini skirts and boots as a curvy girl," read the text.

She wore a jean jacket with a matching skirt and a white top underneath.

The curvy fashionista paired the look with stockings and knee-high boots.

"I’ve always been so self-conscious of my legs, but we’re working on it," she added.

The video drew in many viewers who shared their thoughts in the comment section.
