Royal Family news – Monarchy watches 'with hands over their eyes' every time Harry & Meghan speak

THE Royal Family "look on with their hands over their eyes" whenever Harry and Meghan speak.

The couple is preparing to drop another bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey today and will join participants and experts to host a “town hall” discussion entitled The Me You Can’t See: A Path Forward.

A source told the Mirror: “Each time Harry and Meghan now speak, the family look on with their hands over their eyes.

“Between them, they have made several serious accusations which they know will not be responded to by Harry’s family.”

The Duke of Sussex has repeatedly attacked Charles in the media over the past few months, including in two Oprah Winfrey interviews in which he effectively accused his father of bullying him and Prince William.

And speaking about how the Duke's actions have not yet hit home, Paul Burrell told Closer magazine: "Doing what he's doing is only going to cause him so much more pain. I don't recognise him now – he's almost become the centre of his own world.

"He's hurting his family and saying things that I think he'll regret."

MEG ‘PUT OFF’ NANNIES AFTER INCIDENT WITH ‘IRRESPONSIBLE’ NIGHT NURSE

The Sussexes were “put off” employing nannies after an incident with an “irresponsible” night nurse, Finding Freedom author Omid Scobie has said.

“After Archie’s arrival, Harry and Meghan wanted some help to establish a sleep pattern. They hired a night nanny,” he told Channel 4’s A Very Royal Baby: From Cradle to Crown.

“Whilst I can’t go into someone else’s employment details for legal reasons, it was an incident on one of the first nights that put the couple off from having a night nurse. Meghan and Harry were forced to let the nurse go in the middle of her second night for being unprofessional and irresponsible.”

They tried out a second nanny, but according to Omid, “Neither found themselves comfortable sleeping through the night without going to check on Archie regularly.”

They eventually employed a third, who helped them out “on a 9-5 basis” that turned out to be a “great working relationship”, before they moved to California.

After polishing off their lunch the couple strolled along the seafront and popped back inside the chippie’s Brattesani ice cream parlour for dessert.

Owner Alison Smith, 59, revealed William, 38, had cookies and cream and mint choc-chip while Kate chose Scottish tablet in a gluten-free cone during an unscheduled stop-off yesterday on their tour of Scotland.

ARCHIE’S FACE APPEARS IN FRONT OF LENSE FOR FIRST TIME EVER

Until now, royal fans haven’t seen the young tot’s face since he was a young baby, but the new clips shared by Harry last week offer a glimpse of what the two-year-old looks like now.

Colour footage of Archie and his parents, Meghan and Harry, playing on the beach was shown in Harry Apple TV documentary series, which fans first saw in black and white during the couple’s explosive Oprah Winfrey chat.

While you can’t see a close up of Archie’s sweet face, the young boy is facing the camera as he runs along the sand, finally offering viewers a glimpse of his face.

This comes just after Harry and Meghan released a new photo of Archie for his second birthday, however, fans were disappointed that he had his back turned to the camera while holding balloons.

In the documentary, there’s also a throwback shot of one-year-old Archie sitting on his mum’s lap while isolating in their LA mansion, which was taken at the time of his first birthday last year. This also marks the last time Archie was properly shown on camera, with the toddler’s face in every photo since then being hidden.

PRITI PATEL SLAMS BBC FOR DIANA INTERVIEW

Priti Patel has slammed the BBC and refused to rule out criminal prosecutions over its 1995 interview with Princess Diana.

The Home Secretary warned the corporation’s reputation has been damaged following Lord Dyson’s report into Martin Bashir’s “deceitful behaviour” to secure the interview.

Ms Patel added that the mid-term review of the BBC would be a “very, very significant moment” for the corporation – where “lessons have to be learned”.

She told Sky News’s Trevor Phillips: “If there is subsequent action that needs to be taken, then clearly – alongside the publication of this report and lessons being learned and changes, changes to the institution, structure, governance, accountability – then that will follow.”

The Home Secretary added: “The BBC itself – one of our great institutions – its reputation has been compromised.”

DIANA WOULD WANT HARRY TO LIVE A ‘PRIVATE LIFE’

Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell has claimed the Princess would have wanted Harry to “live a private life” and “stop airing his dirty laundry in public”.

He told Closer: “Diana would be heartbroken it’s come to this.

“Not only would she be devastated that Harry is cut off from his family, but she’d disapprove of him tearing down the royals.

“She’d want him to stop airing his dirty laundry, and to live a quiet, private life, focused on his children.”

HARRY ‘HELLBENT ON BLAMING EVERYONE ELSE’ SAYS ROYAL EXPERT

PRINCE Harry is “hell-bent on blaming everyone else for his problems” – particularly father Charles, a royal expert has claimed.

Robert Jobson, who was friends with Princess Diana and has written books on Philip and Charles, said the Duke of Sussex has behaved “shamefully” in recent weeks.

And he warned there may be little chance of Charles and Harry ever reconciling over fears anything said will simply be repeated “for commercial gain”.

In an episode of True Royalty’s The Royal Beat, Mr Jobson laid into the Duke for his comments.

“I thought it was pathetic actually,” he said. “He was hell-bent on blaming everyone else for his problems and mainly his father.”

WHAT DID PRINCE HARRY SAY ABOUT HIS FAMILY?

Harry’s appearance in an explosive documentary left the Queen “deeply upset” – although Charles has no intention of “cutting off his son”, despite his hurt, it’s been claimed.

Prince Harry accused his family of showing “total neglect” to his mental health woes and claimed that Prince Charles made him “suffer”.

Harry accused The Firm of smearing Meghan Markle, who wept into her pillow every night, and said his wife didn’t give into her suicidal thoughts because of how “unfair” it would have been to him.

But Charles came in for particular criticism from his youngest son – with Harry saying his father did little to help him through his struggles.

“My father used to say to me when I was younger, he used to say to both William and I, ‘Well, it was like that for me, so it’s going to be like that for you’,” he said.

PRINCE HARRY EXPOSES ‘DISCONNECT’ WITH MEGHAN MARKLE’S OPRAH CLAIMS AFTER OPENING UP ON TV DOC

PRINCE Harry has exposed a “disconnect” with Meghan Markle’s claims in the couple’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. The Duke of Sussex made a “slip of the tongue” on a recent podcast appearance which didn’t match up with the Duchess story, a TV presenter has claimed.

The Duke of Sussex told Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast that his wife had spurred him to receive therapy to get help with feelings of “frustration” about things that were "out of his control".

But back in March, Meghan told Oprah that she was denied help from The Firm after struggling with her mental health.

She claimed: “I went to the institution and I said that I needed to go somewhere to get help. I said, ‘I’ve never felt this way before and I need to go somewhere’. And I was told that I couldn't, that it wouldn’t be good for the institution."

Sky News Australia presenter Andrew Bolt brought up the disconnect while speaking to royal commentator Daisy Cousens.

He said: "Didn't she say in her notorious interview with Oprah Winfrey that when she wanted to go see a therapist herself Buckingham Palace refused her permission? "Prince Harry, the actual prince could get therapy but his wife could not?"

PRINCE CHARLES SAID TO BE 'HURT AT BEING MADE OUT TO BE A VILLAIN'

Sources close to Prince Charles, 72, say he is hurt over being made the villain.

A royal source said: “Father-and-son relations are at their lowest-ever point.

“Harry says he wants reconciliation, but has clearly decided to vilify his father. Charles is just at a loss about what to do.

“Harry doesn’t seem to take into account that parenting styles have radically changed over recent years, especially the role a father plays.”

During the Sussexes’ conversation with Oprah, the couple made a series of shocking allegations – most damaging of all that an unnamed member of the Royal Family had made a racist comment about the colour of son Archie’s skin.
